Jill was one of the original Directors who set up Silsden Youth CIC to help ‘save the Youth Club’. She was passionate about keeping a Youth provision for the Community and that became a passion to build a Community Centre for all.
Jill is now employed by The Hive Silsden CIO to manage the day to day running of The Hive and with the help of the Charity Trustees, to secure a future for The Hive to stay and develop as a community asset.
Jill is still passionate about keeping a Youth provision in our Community and is tirelessly working towards getting this up and running in the near future, as well as making sure groups and events run consistently and smoothly for all the Community to enjoy and be a part of.
Deputy Centre Manager
Leanne started as a volunteer for Silsden Youth CIC. She came on board to give a few hours a week to help Jill and the other Directors to try and shape a future for what is now The Hive.
Leanne is now employed by The Hive Silsden CIO to assist Jill with the day to day running of The Hive and to co-ordinate the activities & event administration tasks.
Leanne continues to pursue new ideas for groups and events to be held at The Hive that will benefit all ages within our Community. Leanne is passionate about providing the best we can for our Community and is constantly looking towards the future.
Emily joined The Hive in July 2018 as our cleaner. Emily soon proved what an asset she was when she volunteered additional hours to set up the Recycling Hub and helped with various administration tasks. Emily has also volunteered with activities and at various events.
Previously Emily has worked in childcare and when the opportunity of Resilience Co-ordinator came up in September 2020, Emily jumped at the chance to work with children again!
Emily’s remit is to bring back the services for our new parents, babies and other members of our community to The Hive ensuring that we follow Covid-19 secure guidelines to keep everyone safe during these uncertain times.

Ann joined us in September 2020 when Emily moved job roles to ensure that we could continue to keep our venue Covid-19 secure.
Ann has volunteered at many of our events and has baked the most delicious cakes and buns for us to sell and raise funds.
Ann is responsible for the testing of the fire alarm and regulatory tests that needs to be carried out in Simon’s absence.
Simon – fondly known as Sam – looks after the maintenance and upkeep of the building and surrounding grounds.
He is always striving to keep the inside and outside looking presentable and is happy to take on small DIY tasks which either improve the function of the building or help to make our work a little easier!!
He is also responsible for testing the fire alarm, as well as other regulatory tests that need to be carried out.
