World Mental Health Day

Today is World Mental Health Day and this is something that is close to our hearts at The Hive. One of the main reasons for the foundation of The Hive was to support our community whether that be socially, emotionally, mentally or even physically.

Today we want to say that we’re only a message away. We will always strive to do our best to support you – without prejudice and in confidence — whether that’s something we can do, or find an activity or organisation that we can refer you to, for whatever help you need.

Welcome to our new website!

The Hive, Silsden have been working extremely hard behind the scenes building their new look website to keep all the community and beyond up to date with the events and activities that are taking place, as well as giving background on how The Hive came about, what they stand for and what additional services they provide. There are also details on how you can get involved with The Hive, whether it be attending, volunteering, donating or starting a fundraiser on their behalf.

Huge thanks goes to Agency for Good and Sam at 418Design for their help and guidance with this venture.

Handmade Masks Silsden

A Silsden resident has done an incredible job making masks to help protect our residents and essential workers during this global pandemic. All whilst raising money for The Hive!

Check out her Facebook page and buy one of her masks. She also has an Etsy page!

International Day of the Midwife

Today is International Day of the Midwife and so we would like to celebrate all midwives that provide vital care and support on our journey to becoming a family.

In particular we would like to celebrate Bluebell Team who not only operate pre-natal clinics at The Hive but have become so much a part of what makes us a community.

They are happy to help and support wherever they can and have been fantastic at helping us to implement and improve services provided at The Hive. Thank you

Places available on the DICE Course

There are still a few places left for the DICE course at The Hive.

This a free course designed to inform and support individuals bringing up children in a modern, digital world.
You will need to be available briefly on the morning of Tuesday 3rd March and then the course starts on Monday 9th March for 4 weeks.

New signs for The Hive!

A new directional sign at the bottom of the entrance of the car park – who has spotted our other sign? Can you tell us where it is?!

This is a huge step forward for us, and something we have been wanting for a while! We are not located in a focal place within the Community so this is a big help not only with those who have not visited us before, but making ourselves visible to those who haven’t heard of us before!

A big thank you to those who helped to make this happen!
